In this home staging in Brampton I took a ho hum master bedroom and created a bedroom that you could see yourself living with for a long time.
All I did was start with a colour palette of chocolate brown and woodlawn blue. White furniture with chrome hardware along with mirrored night tables added balance to the room.
Chrome accessories and of course, a fabulous piece of artwork placed opposite the bed. By placing the artwork opposite the bed, a buyer could envision themselves waking up to what looked like the perfect getaway place. Buyers tend to buy the way they want to live and this room completed everyone's fantasy of getting away from it all without ever leaving their bedroom.
This room was specifically created so that a buyer would connect emotionally with this property and put it at the top of their list.
Investment,minimal.
Impact, priceless.

Winner of the Trailblazer Company of the Year 2009.

Michelle, awesome transformation. I had to keep looking because it definitely does not look like the same room. I absolutely love the colors and that artwork is the icing on the cake.
You did an awesome job, wow. I would have never guessed it was the same room.
Great work to enhance the viewing pleasure of prospective buyers!
Hi Tanya, it is like night and day isn't it? I absolutely love the artwork. I hung white sheeers to mimic the picture and it looked fab!
Hi Andrea, glad you like the room. When the home owner saw it she sat down on a chair in the bedroom and said she was never leaving her room, she loved it!
Hi Judi, it is all done for the purpose of enticing buyers to put this property on their must see list when they are looking through listing photos. With over 90% of buyers looking on line now for their next home, your home has to be merchandised to create desire in buyers and create action on their part to see the house and make an offer. This one definitely has that nailed down.
Love the colour combination. What a difference from the heavy, dark furniture!
Michelle, Great Job! Love the mirror 'night stand.'
You sure did a great job -- after you did it , it looks much better.
Very nice and so much prettier. You did an amazing job.
AHHHH, it looks so comfortable and calm. I love your work. You can tell, you love what you do too, you do a fabulous job.
So calming Michelle! What a great retreat.
Hi Vivian, I usually don't use white furniture and I hardly ever use blue but this combination seems to have captured my imagaination.
Hi Janelle, yes those mirrored night tables made the room. If I had used all white furniture I don't believe it would have had quite the fantasy look it does now. The end tables are in every magazine for the last year and something women for the most part pine for and know that they probably will never have. Buyers buy the lifestyle they want to live, not the one they usually live. This room checks off the fantasy living box for most people.
Hi Bob and Caroline, I usually love dark furniture, however, the exisiting furniture here was just too dated to create the lifestyle look I was after to entice buyers to make an offer. Thanks for stopping in to see me work. I always appreciate hearing from Realtors.
Hi Cathy, my husband saw the room at the end and asked why our bedroom didn't look like this. Guess I better get busy!
Hi Chrissie, most people lead such hectic lives running from here to there day after day that I wanted to create a room that allowed you to feel like you just woke up on vacation every day. Thanks for saying what I feel each day. I love what I do and I think it shows.
beautiful! where did you get the pieces...especially the nightstands and bedding. Always looking for bedding that photographs nicely.
Hi Margaret, the bedding is from bed, bath and beyond $113 for a king, can you believe it!
I usually do not use patterned pieces but this room came to me in a day dream and everything just fell into place when I was shopping. Night stands from a supplier. Furniture from Leon's department store, lamps from Homesense which is like TJ Max down there.
I call this room Rhapsody in Woodlawn Blue as that is the Benjamin Moore colour that I used.
Wow, Michelle. What a difference! Looks like something you'd see on HGTV. Great job!
Hi Kalika, thank you for the HGTV compliment. I appreciate you stopping in to see my work. Client loves it and it was a fun to create.
Michelle, I love your use of color and luxury to get inside the minds of buyers. Your last statement about making the buyer move this property to the top of their mental list is great. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Holly, I agree with you about getting into the minds of buyers to create action on their part. The staging sets up the visual for the listing photos and once the buyer is there they can really see themselves living there.
I love the transformation, and the mirrored nightstand. I have one similar, love that glam look!
Hi Cindy, I love the glam look too. I am still thinking of redesigning my own room like this one. There is just something about it that makes you think you are in a hotel suite with not a care in the world, very calming.
Absolutely gorgeous! That really is a fantasy getaway!
Hi Annie, glad you liked my fantasy bedroom. My husband is still asking a month later when are we getting ours. You know the old story about the shoe makers son.....
