All I did was....Home Staging Success Stories

How do you select paint colours? What men and women see are different.

Home staging in Toronto and Vaughan we are asked to select paint colours for selling homes and for the new home that the seller will be moving in to. Well just how,  EXACTLY,  do we decide how to do that?

For staging purposes our staging association works with a paint company each year to track what people are buying.

At the end of the year they give us 10 paint colours to work with. 7 paint colours for inside and 3 for outside.

When we are at the property we see what colour cabinets and flooring they home has and which way the room faces. Based on these answers, we then select one of the fool proof colours to paint the rooms.

No guess work involved.

Works like a charm every time.

Watch this for a hilarious adventure in selecting paint colours. This shows exactly what we go through with home owners and especially what we experience speaking with men and women about colour.

When you are selling a property and need to select a paint colour, call us before you buy the paint to avoid added expense and more work.

Did you know that according to paint companies 40% of paint sold the first time is the wrong colour?

Call the Go To Girl around town to give you the best advice on paint colours.

I love the video...shared on facebook!

I chose paint colors for an entire home once based on a serving platter.  LOL!  It was a redesign consult, not a staging-to-sell consult.

Michelle - I never get tired of watching this clip.  So funny.  Definitely a Venus & Mars mentality happening here!

That really is a hilarious video.  I've seen similar things in real life.

HI Sharon and Sally, glad you enjoyed this clip.  It is so realistic when it comes to the sexes picking colours.

HI Debbie, I can imagine what you go through when couples are selecting hardwood flooring. I have been called in to be the final word when it comes to designing a home. It seems to be easier for couples to say .. well Michelle said this one.
