Stressing about moving a senior... watch our latest how to video

Home staging in Toronto we are often asked by an agent to assist a family with moving an elderly family member or to assist in preparing a property once the home is no longer occupied.

We are able to connect the seller and the family members to a company that does the work of removing the items no longer needed.

Whether the items are going to the new home, to be donated or taken to the dump our partners prepare the home for our company to come in and prepare the home for listing photos.

Watch our latest video for a step by step lesson in making the transition so much more stress free you will be glad you called.

Our latest staged property at 42 McGillvary in Toronoto sold in 3 days with multiple offers after two weeks of focused planning and implementation of the recommendations.

Another staging success story!

When you find yourself wondering how you will  help a senior prepare a home for sale call the Go To Girl around town.

"Have a Team Approach".  This is so important for so many reasons.  Having everyone in the family present can avoid hard feelings and legal challenges.

Hi Michelle ~ What a great process you've developed for working with seniors in transition!  The video is very informative for anyone needing this service.  Well done!

Selling a home is stressful enough, but for the elderly it's so much harder.  Working with seniors requires care and understanding.

HI Fred, I find that having a team approach allows everyone to feel that their thoughts are being taken into account. It also allows the reticement members of a family to speak up when there is a 3rd party present. Thank you for stopping in to watch. It is a service that is going to be needed more and more in the next 10 years.

HI Maureen, It definitely goes smoother due to the processes we have in place. Everyone knows the routine, the family takes solace in knowing that we know what we are doing. So much less stressful for them. We can see the shoulders actually relax and come down to the normal position.

Hi Sharon, it is usually very stressful for the senior involved. They really have no idea where to start and can fall into depression quickly and become overwhelmed to the point of not wanting to go on with life.

Our one client said he thought he was going to die through the move. I said we think we are never going to make it through a move. He replied, no I mean I thought I was actually going to die.  He couldn't thank us enough for making the transition to his new living arrangements in assisted care so easy for him.

HI Shar, the videos have really catapulted my business this year. We are up 30% and this has definitely been a big part of the success this year.

When working with seniors the families are under tremendous amounts of stress. The videos allow your prospective clients to get to know you a bit before they call you out to their home. Great investment in the time to create these.

Good luck in the new year, hope you are able to put together a few of these. These are professionally produced however I am thinking that using your phone would do to start.
