It was a little nook and I took it as a challenge to create "another room" where there was none before.
This was a tiny corner in the basement by the guest bedroom and in the hall way on the way to the loo.
In this property in Alliston, I Staged a tiny, perfect breakfast nook for the guest that is staying for an extended amount of time and wants to have their coffee in the morning away from the host.
Selling Real Estate is all about selling space and function. I created a space with a function where there was an empty corner previously.
Advantage Staging will market your property to stand out from the competition every time.
Investment, minimal.
Impact, priceless.

That is an awesome idea. A little creativity goes a long way.
Thank you Laura. It sure made the client smile. Her mother was coming to stay for three days as her apartment was being painted. She thought it was such an ingenious solution and couldn't believe how simple it was to create. More often than not, I get the comment that they wished they had met me when they moved in how many years ago so that they could have enjoyed their home so much more.
Michelle, good idea. It really looks cute and is a smart use of space.
HI Lisa, thanks for stopping in to look at my nook!
Cute idea, thanks for posting the picture!
Very cute, what a nice touch for a guest, it reminds me of a hotel!
Bisto table sets are a great inventory addition. I have several and they're always in use. Great job Michelle!
Great use of space Michelle!
Michelle ~ Very cute and what a great idea!
Michelle, Wonderful use of the space, very cute. I'm sure the clients mother will enjoy the space when she visits.
HI Cindy, As I stay at a lot of smaller hotels and bed and breakfasts this is where I got my inspiration from. Also having had many weekend guests as we live at the beach I know how important it is to provide a space where you can have a moment alone if you need it! This property is in an adult lifestyle golf course community and visitors are frequent. This is why it was such a great marketing idea for the property.
Hi Ginger, I have 4 bistro sets in my inventory. I pick them up this time of year as they are all 50% off or more. Yeah!!! Get shopping Stagers.
Hi Michelle, Kathy and Penny - Thanks for stopping in. Hopefully you can use this on one of your next jobs.
Hi Donna, The clients mother called yesterday and said how much she enjoyed her little spot in the morning. Another happy customer and another person that will spread the word about Staging to her peers. This is a good thing for me as I move seniors in transition. Word of mouth is priceless.
Darling!
Where's my chocolate croissant?
HI Mark and Leslie, It's funny you mention that. I thought of putting out somthing to eat but then I thought it would look too contrived. Sort of like in the old days of Staging where they used to put out a wine bottle and two glasses by a jacuzzi tub. So I left it as is.
But you comment did elicit the response I was looking for. It got you thinking about being there in that home and sitting down to breakfast, you connected with that home. Now that is marketing at it's finest. Staging does work! :)
Michelle, What a wonderful idea, you always think outside the box!! I love it - creative space! God bless,
so pretty!!! Love the lage artwork in the small space - it works great.
Smashing! Functional and beautiful, and thoughtful, to boot.
~Michelle M.
Hi Michelle,
Every square foot counts ~ Love It!
Michelle:
Thanks for sharing your idea and photo, what a great use of space.
Joyce
HI Cherly, that's my trademark, thinking outside the box. It sets me apart from the competition by a mile. Thanks for noticing.
Hi Maureen, The artwork is from my favourite decor store, Bouclair. I love the tall pieces. I use them in stairwells all the time or on either side of a fireplace.
Hi Michelle, it's the thought that counts, oui?
Hi Joyce, thanks for stopping in. Hopefully you can use this when you find you have an empty corner.
Michelle,
Right! I didn't want a fake croissant- I really wanted a real chocolate, real croissant! :o)
I do use faux breads/fruit occasionally- usually in a vacant. Occupied home homeowners are told to keep the fruit and flowers fresh!
~Leslie
HI Mark and Leslie, I ask the homeowners to use fresh for the Realtor tour and the fist public open house. One of my first jobs the clients were both pilots. Frequent flyers really. The flowers were all dead. :(
After that I started to buy realistic artificial ones. They cost more but in the long run it works out financially for me.
Very clever. I'm saving this post
Michelle, How creative! You gave new meaning to this space. Thank you for sharing you idea.
Perfectly suited in a sweet little space. nice job Michelle!
Hi Virginia, Barbara and Karen, Thank you for stopping in to my little nook.:)
It really made an impact in this space. I am gettng good feedback from the Realtors.
I love the colors you chose to decorate with. Great job.
Terrific idea. I smiled when I read "loo." We don't have loos in California - just boring old bathrooms!
Hi Latonia, I love the reds, oranges and golds too. I think they really warm up a space. Can't seem to stage with blue or pink. It just doesn't work for me.
Hi Beth, yes, I grew up in Australia and the language references are always there. Apparently I say wonky a lot and that is Ozzie too. I never reallized it.
I get looks sometimes when I say I am going to give a person a ring. It means call to call them on the phone. Definitely Ozzie.
