All I did was....Home Staging Success Stories

head_left_image

All I did was..... remove the piano and chair, declutter and add a dining room set.

In this example I would like to show Realtors and Homeowners the importance of showing the purpose of a room. This room was immediately off the front foyer and was being used as a catch all instead of as it's intended purpose, a dining room.

All I did was remove the piano and chair, declutter and add a dining room set and new lighting. Now potential buyers come into the home and immediately see how they could be enjoying dinner with family and friends in this home. The fireplace and bookcase are now the focal points of the room instead of more clutter in the room.

The Realtors job of marketing this home in Barrie is much easier now that Advantage Staging has returned the room to it's intended purpose.

Investment, minimal.

Impact, priceless.

Excellent job! I can't tell you how many times I have been showing property when the client has asked "what is this room?" Thanks for making our job easier!

much much better.. I try over and over to tell home owners 80% packed is less then 20% sold. So you have get over 80% pack, declutted  to get the offers flying in the door and the highest dollar .

Hi Phylis, I know it seems to make so much sense to show the room as it's intended purpose but people live in their homes a certain way and really don't see it as others do. They do not get that feeling that something isn't quite right in their home as they see it everyday. Stagers make it all happen on time and on a budget.

Happy Realtors, Happy Clients. Happy Buyers.  Everyone wins. :)

Hi Eric, I suggest to all clients that the room, cabinets, closets etc are only 2/3 full. The problem is that they picture 2/3 full  differently than I do! :)

Great idea.  I am going to try this with one of my listings.  Trading Spaces!! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Great job.  De cluttering is one of the most important things you can do.  It is amazing how often people try to sell their home with it full of stuff.  I liked the comment 80% cluttered,20% sold.  I will use that line. I loved the job you did on staging.

Hi Bill, Thank you for the positive comment on my work. When I am with the client I let them know that it is the last 20% that I provide that markets their proprety to look 100% perfect.

Clients will buy the decor items they see in a magazine or at the store, take them home, and it still doesn't look good. It doesn't feel right.

That's where Staging comes in. We pull it all together. A common remark when we are done Staging an occuppied is "These are all my belongings but I would never have thought to put them together like this. It looks amazing!"

If you give this try in your listing please come back and post a picture. Would love to see how it turns out.
